Long before the launch of the Fig. 2 Design Studio, I had a passion for design. When my parents sent me to grad school in Milan, I finally understood what it was all about... Who knew I would put so much thought into purchasing something as simple as a pen? While my love for pens is my father's fault (he always appreciated a well-designed pen), my love for paper (and shoes, for that matter) is strictly my mother’s. In the third grade, she had us create time-intensive handmade Valentines. I always wished she would let us buy the regular "Be My Valentine" cards from the store. Now I understand. There's nothing better than a truly unique card to help spread the love on a special occasion.

There is nothing more satisfying to me than to hear a bride say, "I wish I could use our wedding stationery for everything I mail" or that a groom "got teary-eyed when he saw how you incorporated his late mother's favorite flower into the program book." After all, an invitation is the first impression of a notable occasion and is often saved as a special memento. My goal is to make these cards the first step in creating beautiful memories for years to come. Just like a homemade Valentine from the third grade.
